How do the giftcards work?
The school purchases the giftcards at a discounted rate and sells them to parents at face value. You can use them at stores the way you do any giftcards. Groceries are an area most families budget and spend hundreds of dollars on per month and giftcards are easy to use for groceries.  If you spend $500/month on groceries using giftcards, the school gets 5% =$25/month.  That is $300/yr to the school that you give by participating in this program without changing anything you do except your method of payment.

 
When & Where can I purchase it?
Giftcard order forms will go home with kids every other week, are available outside of the school office or download below.  Return the order form and payment to the office and decide if you want to pick up the cards at the office, have them go home with your child or pick them up after school from Kristin Arvidson.  (kma206@msn.com)   The cards will also be sold at most school events and can be purchased directly from Kristin after school in the back parking lot on most days. Turn around time can often be immediate, but maximum time is 1 week. 

 
I always use my credit card for groceries so I earn airline miles.  Do you have a way for me to support scrip and get my miles too?
Yes.  Safeway and PCC allow you to pay any way you want.

Food/Beverage: Starbucks, Tully’s, Café Ladro, Great Harvest, Jamba Juice, Taqueria Guaymas, Husky Deli
Junction/Specialty Stores: Quid Nunc, Easy Street Records, Curious Kidstuff, West Seattle Nursery, Barnes & Noble/B Dalton, Home Depot
*We will sell an expanded list during November-December for holiday gifts. 

 
**Safeway: In addition to using giftcards. 1- 4% of your purchases will go to the school if you sign up your club card with Gatewood Elementary. Go online to www.escrip.com . You must enter your address but not your phone number, SS#, e-mail or any credit card information. Friends and neighbors from different states can sign up to support our school too!!!  (Call 1-877-723-3929 for your Club card number.)
