How do I join the PTA?
You may pay cash or write a check payable to "Gatewood PTA" in the amount of $8 per person per year.  The Gatewood PTA in turn pays for each local member to support the Seattle Council, Washington State and National PTA organizations. These organizations support our local PTA in many ways, in addition to the outstanding work they do in advocating for our children. Membership forms are available on the PTA table outside of the school office or download and print the form below.

Do I need to join the PTA (pay the annual dues) to attend meetings?
No. All parents/guardians, teachers and interested persons are welcome to attend meetings and PTA events. Your input is important in this process and we welcome your participation.

Do I need to join the PTA to vote on how money is spent and what activities the PTA sponsors?
Yes, you must be a paid member of the PTA in order to vote.

Do I need to join the PTA to volunteer?
No, all volunteers are welcome.  There are jobs that take only a few minutes to jobs much more involved.  What ever time you can contribute will be welcome!
